The Junior block has a library with a stock of about 1500 books on various subjects. The Senior block has a library with a stock of about 5500 books. Besides, reference materials there are sufficient number of magazines and periodicals and audio video support materials for various subjects. Each class has a library period during the week. Bothe the libraries have a qualified librarian each to look into the effective uses of the facilities.
An additional feature to nurture the habit of reading among students is that copies of "The Hindu" newspapers are distributed to every classroom in the Senior block and 15 minutes allotted daily for newspaper reading in the afternoon.
I am glad to present myself to you. I am Bro. Robert, appointed as the new Principal and Correspondent of Montfort School, Kattur. It gives me immense joy to communicate with you all, through our school website since the present pandemic has made things hard for us to meet one another physically at school. Changes in life are inevitable and they are unchangeable! Everything considered as normal has changed into new normal. I have come to know and heard from many sources about the many positive changes taking place in this great temple of learning.
